Puerto de Mogan beach

Puerto de Mogán, the westernmost town on the southern coast of Gran Canaria.

It is a picturesque set, the small port, a fishing village, tourist resort and a chic holiday destination at the same time.

The stretch of golden sand on this beautiful and well protected beach is also ideal for families.

The clear water is calm and the sea around the dike is a great place for snorkelling as there is a fantastic variety of fish to spot.

Visitors can explore the fascinating underwater world by choosing a trip on a yellow submarine or spend some time on a deep-sea fishing boat and watch the tuna or marlin hunting of record size.

You can also rent sun beds, umbrellas, pedal boats and canoes and you will find kiosks where you can enjoy a drink with frescha and a snack.

Far from the beach you will find a network of canals and bridges for which Puerto de Mogán is often called "Little Venice". Visitors will enjoy a leisurely stroll around the harbor, where they will find a wide variety of shops and superb seafood restaurants waiting for them.

There are numerous places to park on the road as well as parking near the beach.

Buses are frequent and there is a taxi stop area. Five minutes away by car is the picturesque and delightful Playa Taurito beach, a peaceful place to relax in the sun.

This area is surrounded by breathtaking cliffs, offers calm and warm waters and numerous restaurants close to the soft strip of sand.
