A quiet beach

With an extension of almost 500 metres long by 75 metres wide, this beach is one of the most popular in Gran Canaria thanks to its location, just a few metres from the impressive Maspalomas Dunes. Accessible from the town centre of San Bartolomé de Tiraja, it is surrounded by a beautiful promenade that offers all the services of a tourist area such as restaurants, shops or bars where you can have a drink.

Welcome to the class area

Although it is not connected to Maspalomas Beach, as it is separated by a lighthouse, when the tide is low the two beaches are connected, making a walk between them very pleasant. The beach also has a sun lounger rental service, a lifeguard, showers and toilets.

The Meloneras lighthouse

Starting from the Maspalomas Lighthouse, the two routes are structured as follows: the one on the right will take us to Meloneras beach, passing by the Punta Mujeres archaeological site, and the one on the left will end at Maspalomas beach, where we will visit, among other things, the Charca and the immense and magical Dunes. But let's go slowly, since the beauty of the route requires all our attention. We recommend having your camera batteries fully charged and bringing a couple of spare ones, so as not to leave anything behind.
