In the southwest of Gran Canaria there is a quiet beach created for relaxing in the sun. It is Amadores beach, with calm waters and no waves, protected by two breakwaters. Its soft white and golden sands invite you to sunbathe all day long lying in a hammock or float for hours on a shore of crystal-clear waters, since neither music nor ball games are allowed here. And as the evening comes, there is nothing like watching the sun slowly set behind the neighbouring island of Tenerife from the same hammock.

Amadores beach is surrounded by a wide range of hotels and apartments. Amadores has been awarded the blue flag since 2004 for the quality of its services: sun loungers and parasols for hire, paid parking and restaurants in a shopping centre where you can eat by the sea. And for people with reduced mobility, there are amphibious chairs, walkways, buoys and nets to make bathing easier.
